Amanda R. Howland is a writer, instructor and homeschooling mother living in Lakewood, Ohio. Her stories can be found in Moonshine Baby, Bird’s Thumb, Adanna Literary Journal and others. She has a degree in fiction from the Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts program and has taught composition and fiction at Cleveland State University. She tutored in both Cleveland State University’s tutoring center and writing center and can efficiently identify students’ unique strengths and challenges in writing and empower them to become more conscious, confident writers and readers. She uses nearly twenty years of experience in yoga and meditation to empower students of all ages to awaken deep concentration, joy and ultimately control in the writing process.
